How it started
Eighteen years of gift cards, in three moments.
The gift card market was just making the switch from paper vouchers to plastic cards. In the United States, shops already had walls full of gift card racks; in the Netherlands, that was yet to begin.
That's where the opportunity lay. The first concept became the JewelCard, one card redeemable at various jewellers. That's where the idea was born that a single card could unlock many brands.
By then there were several in-house concepts with the big retail chains: Diner Cadeau, Fashion Giftcard, the Sauna & Wellness Gift Card and the Winkelcheque.
cadeaubon.nl added our own platform to that mix, marking the first step from card racks to an online range.
The group is active in more than twenty-one countries, with its own concepts and platforms from the Netherlands to New Zealand.
Cadeauservice brings that experience together in one portal for organisations: ordering, activating, personalising and sending, all in one place.
